Simon is an Italian wine professional based in London–Associate member of the British Sommelier Foundation and WSET Certified Educator.

He started his career in the wine industry working for Nicolas Wine – Castel Group in 2006 where he had under his management two different shops in Central London. In 2015 he was the manager for the biggest Wine Rack shop in UK.

His retail experience took him to start a broader exploration of the wine world and in 2011 he used his expertise as a sommelier at the 5 star Dorchester Hotel in London at the Grill.

In 2012 he completed the Diploma from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, level 4 NVQ and continued with the WSET Certified Educator Award, level 1-2-3 NVQ and teaching Level 3 at Milan Wine Academy.
In 2013 he worked as a Sommelier for New Street Wine Shop –D&D Group in London and as a Sales Executive Agent and assistant buyer for Mondial Wine Ldt.

He often works as a consultant to the hospitality and retail sectors in London and also sourcing international wines for buyers. This has given him work experience in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and Germany.

He provides bespoke industry training through tastings, talks, corporate events and one-to-one advice for private clients.

His freelance work includes varied roles as brand ambassador for Moscato di Scanzo and Franciacorta DOCG, waiting work at the Decanter Wine World Awards, IWC and Tom Stevenson.  As a buyer and marketer for Domus Cella and in the role of business developer for Lombardy Taste and Wine. He has also worked for the Gruppo Riondo Veneto in Italy as an Export Agent Uk.

He has acted as wine judge at IWSC, Mundus Vini, Sommelier Wine Award and associated judge for IWC and for other international wine competitions.
